Copper tubing has long been the best solution for water or gas connection for homes. From now on, copper shares the limelight with other materials, such as PER and multilayer, or even with steel tubes of different kinds. However, copper is often chosen for its many qualities and its longevity, despite its higher purchase cost.
The copper tube has many advantages:
- Long-lasting resistance : the copper tube has a long lifespan and unfailing reliability.
- Perfect sealing : as long as the connections are made according to the rules of the art, the sealing is ensured by the copper.
- Completely anti-corrosion : the copper is completely protected from corrosion.
- Versatile : the copper tube is suitable for the hot and cold water sanitary network as well as for the heating circuit.
- Insensitive to UV : the hardened copper tube can be left visible (its aesthetics permitting). The annealed copper tube can be embedded in a partition.
- Low pipe expansion : unlike PER, copper has a very low expansion rate. It is therefore not necessary to provide a large space around the pipes.
